NOUVELLE ERE, NOUVEAU DEPART, 2021 ET AU-DELA

A new area, that we hope to be a bright one, begins in 2021, for all our publications: journals (Afrika Statistika, African journal of Applied Statistics, Journal of mathematical facts and short papers), ebooks and paper books. All publications are under the roof of SPAS-EDS that works a publishing house.

In the transition year of 2021, we will try to reach a financial equilibrium for SPAS-EDS. Now, SPAS-EDS has a staff that ensures its smooth and regular functioning.

As a consequence, Article Processing Charges (APC) are now mandatory to support the sustainability of the publishing house.

However, the ACP are set to be be affordable to the African Scientifitic Community, especially to young people.

The most important steps of the new area is the new organization, the new bebsites and the availability of a devoted and this should result in the reaching the following objectives:

A flexible and quick ssubmission process and tracking papers
A fast reviewing process with
A high quality reviewing process with insight of the reports
A quick publication of paper in our websites and in Euclid
The publication of paper versions of issues

For the international visibility, we remain a partner of Euclid, which recentlty migrated to one of the biggest contents websites. Through that platform, we are connected to all researcher centers and to all universties in the World.

By the end of 2026, SPAS-EDS should develop into a major publishing house, in Mathematics and related fields, at the worldwide stage.

AJAS publishes original articles on applied sciences, using preferentially african data. AJAS wishes to assist the african development in terms of production, of analysis and of utilization its data. The tools for doing so are : development of competences and of exchanges in this field. That is why all applied statistics articles about data production, computing methods, simulation studies or data programming are also welcome.

However the perfect article of this journal is the one that contains the complete description, in a pedagogical sense, of a new or former statistical method, its application to specific data about an african country , about an african area or simply about the whole continent. The conclusion by a fact formulation based on a documented analysis by data as well as the pertinent recommandations towards the decision makers are very excepted by our readers. Here is a brief list of possible categories of papers that fit to AJAS

Description of a new methodology.
Description of a known methodology and application to a set of data collected in Africa (if possible).
Description of provided data. The authors should explain how the data has been collected and should indicate where and for what the data may be used. This may give the opportunity to others to work on them.
Lessons papers on how to use softwares
Simulations works for existing or new methodologies.
etc.

The policy of the journal is that the reader should be able to apply the method described in a paper of applied statistics. So it is important :

to described the methodology used in the paper and all parameters
to Justify the methodology
to give algorithms if relevant
to explain the implementation to current data and eventually (in case of innovative procedures) the codes (R, SAS, SPSS, STAT-A, etc.)
At the end of the paper, authors should reply themselves to the question : do you think that the reader will be able to conduct a research work using our paper from A to B.?

AJAS covers all fields of data utilization : health and medecine, economic, agroforestry, peach, feeding, sociology, demography, industry, etc.

AJAS, in consequence, is a tribune open to all scientists using data and quantitative methods of analysis.

AJAS is looking forward from the researchers especially in quantitative methods (mathematics, statistics, probabilities, econometry, etc.) a move to the necessary taking up of african questions and of the participation in the study of african challenges backed by data. AJAS invites also the data producers, especially in the public sector, to share knownledge on databases, as to tease studies and necessary collaborations for Africa's development.

AJAS invites also the decision makers and the politics to address, in this website, all question related to data and hope to have solutions from interested scientists.
